How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
Facility Management and Safety (FMS) ensures a safe, efficient, and compliant healthcare environment. Key points include maintaining robust infrastructure, adhering to legal requirements (e.g., Fire NOC, AERB clearances), and implementing fire safety protocols with regular drills and equipment checks. Effective infection control measures, such as zoning in CSSD and OT, and adequate inter-bed spacing, are critical. Hospitals must ensure accessibility, proper signage, and disaster preparedness, including evacuation plans and emergency equipment. Continuous maintenance, staff training, and quality improvement processes enhance patient safety, operational efficiency, and compliance, fostering trust and credibility.

A lab-accredited summary benefits patients by ensuring the reliability and accuracy of medical test results. Accreditation signifies that the laboratory meets stringent quality standards, reducing errors and improving diagnostic precision. Patients receive clear, trustworthy reports, enabling informed decisions about their health. This fosters confidence in treatment plans, minimizes misdiagnoses, and enhances patient safety. Additionally, accredited labs adhere to standardized protocols, ensuring consistency across tests, which is critical for monitoring chronic conditions. Ultimately, a lab-accredited summary empowers patients with dependable data, streamlines communication with healthcare providers, and supports better health outcomes through evidence-based care.
Lipoproteinemia / Types-Hyperlipoproteinemia and Hypolipoproteinemia / Clinic...P. Harshitha Reddy
Lipoproteinemia refers to the presence and levels of lipoproteins in the blood. Lipoproteins are complexes made of lipids and proteins that help transport cholesterol, triglycerides, and other fats through the bloodstream. Proper balance of lipoproteins is essential for normal metabolic function, and disturbances can lead to diseases such as atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, and pancreatitis.
Lipoproteinemias are broadly classified into two types:
Hyperlipoproteinemia - elevated levels of lipoproteins, often associated with increased cholesterol or triglycerides.
Hypolipoproteinemia - abnormally low levels of lipoproteins.
The Roy adaptation theory provides a valuable framework for understanding the complex process of adaptation and promoting health and well-being. By applying the theory in practice, nurses can develop targeted interventions that promote adaptation and improve health outcomes. While the theory has its limitations, it remains a significant contribution to the field of nursing and continues to influence nursing practice and research.
Statement of the Theory :
"The goal of nursing is to promote adaptation for individuals and groups in each of the four adaptive modes i.e. Physiological needs, self-concepts, role function, and interdependent relations thus contributing to health quality of life, and dignity with dying".
Synthetic Lethality and PARP Inhibitors, How Biomarkers Are Changing Cancer Careganeshdukare428
Cancer treatment has traditionally relied on a "one-size-fits-all" approach, but the future of oncology is increasingly focused on precision medicine. One of the most promising strategies in precision cancer treatment involves synthetic lethality — a concept that is revolutionizing the way we approach cancer therapies, particularly with PARP inhibitors. These drugs, designed to target specific genetic weaknesses in cancer cells, are particularly effective when combined with biomarkers that identify tumors most likely to respond.
The global PARP inhibitor biomarkers market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.5% from 2025 to 2032. By 2032, the market is expected to reach a value of USD 1,833.4 million, up from USD 1,035.3 million in 2025. PARP inhibitors, a form of targeted therapy, are primarily used to treat cancers like breast and ovarian cancer by targeting the PARP protein (poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase). This protein plays a key role in repairing damaged DNA. PARP inhibitors are effective in targeting cancer cells that have DNA repair deficiencies, often due to mutations in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes.

The role of pharmacological interventions in managing urological complicatio...publication11
Pregnancy leads to a number of structural and functional changes in the urinary system, which makes females susceptible to
urological complications. This review aims to discuss the epidemiology, complications and prevention and management of urinary
tract infections (UTIs), kidney stones and bladder dysfunction in pregnancy. UTIs are the most common urological problem
presenting in 10% of pregnant women; Escherichia coli is the most common causative organism. If left untreated, UTIs lead to
acute pyelonephritis which occurs in about 2% of pregnant women and which has serious consequences for both the mother
and the baby. Kidney stones, although rare, are hazardous, occurring in 1 in 200 to 1 in 1500 pregnancies, and may cause
obstructive uropathy, and aggravation of “labor-like” pain. Urological complications are frequent in pregnancy; bladder dysfunction
alone has been documented to affect 50% of the pregnant women. Urological complications can have severe consequences
when not properly managed including preterm labor and renal dysfunction. In order to have the best pharmacological care, safe
use of antibiotics for UTIs is needed along with other measures for kidney stones. This review highlights the importance of a
team approach to patient management to optimize outcome and touches briefly on some of the ethical dilemmas that may be
encountered when drug therapy in pregnancy is being considered. Therefore, it is feasible to enhance the health of women and
the fetus during this period through patient focused care and innovative interventions.
The reproductive organs in female are those which concerned with copulation, fertilization, growth and development of fetus and its subsequent exit to the outer world.
Functions are as follows;
*Produces the female egg or ova cells.
*Transports the eggs to the site of fertilization.
*The fertilization of an egg by a sperm, occurs in the fallopian tubes.
*After fertilization, provides a place for a baby to develop
Protection and nourishment of the fertilized egg until it is fully developed.
*Delivers fetus through birth canal.
*Nourishment of the baby through milk secreted by mammary glands in the breast
If fertilization does not take place, the system is designed to menstruate.
*Produces female sex hormones that maintain the reproductive cycle.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

1. Creating Good Eating Habits
Eating healthy should be foremost on your priority list. You need to be extremely careful about what you are
eating, how you are eating, and when you are eating. Many people cut down on their food radically to lose
weight. However, such sudden changes can initiate weight loss only in the short term. However, such DIY
changes are not advised as it starts to affect your health and become the root cause of many diseases.
If you wish to lose weight, your need to eat well, sleep well and work out at a fitness gym near me.
What are some of the good eating habits? Let us find out more about it here.
• Eat plenty of vegetables
Ensure that your plate is filled with veggies like green beans, broccoli, leafy veggies like kale, Brussels sprouts,
and more. Alongside you should have lean proteins, legumes, and whole grains.
• Never skip your breakfast
This is a major gap in the diet of most people. It is common to skip breakfast. People tend to eat more during
lunch and dinner. That’s the wrong outlook. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Remember after
8 -10 hours of sleep, the body needs nourishment for proper functioning and carrying out normal metabolic
activities. A breakfast meal should contain proteins like eggs, unsaturated fats, and complex carbs.
2. • Starving is a strict no-no
If you thought that the best way to lose weight is by not eating food, then you are wrong. When you starve, it
can backfire and start a chain of reactions that can hamper your health. Most people who starve, give in to
their hunger pangs at some or the other time and start to binge on whatever food they can get their hands on.
The effect can be catastrophic.
The best way to maintain weight or lose weight is by exercising. Giving up a sedentary lifestyle is the most
crucial aspect here. A better weight to stay grounded and keep your weight constant is to join a gym or work
with a fitness coach in Auckland.
• Fresh is always better than packaged food
While marketers ensure that branded packaged food looks good, in most cases, the so-called goodness is
limited to the exterior only. Like the packaging is attractive, the discounts are mind-blowing, and so on. On the
inside, the food may be filled with processed sugars and salt and made with saturated fats.
Therefore, you need to be very careful in what you choose from the grocery stores. Instead of looking at ads
and getting inspired, make it a habit to read the labels to understand the content inside. Also, try and limit
yourself to healthy options like fresh veggies and fruits. Similarly, stick to fresh produce of fish, meat, and
dairy products.
• Say a Big No to Processed foods
A lot of your pain points can be eased off when you start to ignore processed foods. Don’t fall for meal boxes
that come loaded with artificial preservatives, too many bad fats, sugars, and salt. Rather, cook at home. Go in
for canned or frozen veggies, fish, lean meat, etc. if you can’t get fresh produce. Your health is going to stay fit
and fine when you stay away from everything artificial and processed.
• Don’t Stay thirsty
When you are thirsty, it is the brain’s way of saying that you need hydration. This means that you need to
drink more fluids. If you are perpetually thirsty, the reason could be something else and you must consult with
a doctor. Ensure that you do not stay thirsty for a long time. Quench your thirst immediately with water, or
other fluids, and the body’s fluid balance gets restored.
• Always eat your food while enjoying it
Shop for nutritious food and have fun while eating them. Your taste buds should be satiated but the mind and
the body too need to be happy with the kind of fuel you provide to them. Stay focused on nourishment and
find ways to do so. When you relax and eat slowly, enjoying every bite, the food ingredients are chewed well,
and they are digested well. As a result, they keep the being thoroughly nourished.
Follow these steps to create a good and healthy eating habit. This way you will always stay in the pink of your
health.
